Hinoki Pencils
In Iwaki, in the northernmost area of Japan, hinoki cypress grows wild. The delicate aroma of fresh evergreen with a whiff of citrus is preserved in these pencils, made from its wood by Iwaki Takahashi — a chopstick manufacturer in operation since 1885. Unvarnished, for a wonderfully tactile earthy feel. With any luck, their simplicity, understatement and sophistication will seep into your writing. Six unsharpened 2B pencils are presented in a triangular box. Wms&Co. is the only U.S. stockist.
